Wadi Rum
A vast desert of sandstone mountains, natural arches and open valleys, Wadi Rum is often called the Valley of the Moon. UNESCO recognizes it as a mixed World Heritage site for both its natural drama and cultural record.
About This Landmark
Discover Wadi Rum
A visit can include a 4x4 route, short walks, sunset viewpoints and Bedouin tea. After dark, the sky becomes a defining part of the experience, especially for travellers spending a night in a desert camp.
It can be visited on a day trip from Aqaba or Petra, although one overnight stay reveals a much fuller sense of the desert.
